DJ Khaled Feat. Nicki Minaj, Future & Rick Ross- I wanna be with you.

Yesterday, I posted pictures of Nicki's massive diamond ring as she was leaving Crustacean's Restaurant. It was assumed by many to be an engagement ring following DJ Khaled's proposal to Nicki. Oh and those of you who really believe Khaled didn't already have the bread to buy that ring he showed on MTV...you're CRAZY! I know random. Anyway, since then artwork and tidbits of Khaled's new song "I wanna be with you" from his new CD, ironically named Suffering from Success, have been popping up online. The CD drops on September 24th! The single features none other than Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and Future. The song is hot, definitely will be taking over the airwaves! Now everyone can calm back down, no wedding bells for Nicki and Khaled. Sorry to all of you who were holding your breath! By the looks of her Instagram (@NICKIMINAJ) Nicki is still team Safaree! I love them together!

What happened to Amanda Bynes?

In 2007 Amanda Bynes sat down with A.J. Hammer of Showbiz Tonight, and vowed never to become a troubled celebrity. (i.e. Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears.) However with her recent stint of weird and erratic behavior we see that somewhere along the line she veered off course. Currently she is on a two week hold for mental evaluations in Ventura, California after allegedly setting a fire in a neighbors' driveway. Thankfully no one was not hurt in this incident. During her interview she discussed why it was easy for her to stay out of trouble, and in a positive light. "I'm not that interested in the club scene and drinking doesn't appeal to me so it's actually easier for me not to do it. I have never been offered drugs…I'm surrounded by people who aren't interested in that. Birds of a feather flock together and I definitely don't fly with that crowd," she said. She was arrested on May 23rd, 2013 following an incident where she allegedly threw a bong out the window of her Manhattan, New York apartment. The case is currently being continued and proceedings are set to take place again on September 26th. That wasn't her only trouble with the law. Unrelated to the May 23rd arrest, she previously had DUI charges and a charge for driving on a suspended license. What caused what seemed to be an otherwise talented and put together young actress to change? Some say it's mental illness, others say publicity.  Say what you want about her, but Ms. Minaj has been making some huge moves! From music, to perfume and now an alcoholic beverage, she is definitely making her mark as more than just an artist but as an entrepreneur, a brand. Her newest venture, Myx Fusions, was recently introduced and on July 4th the rapper held a special cruise to promote the product. Myx fusion offers three exciting flavors coconut moscato, peach moscato, and moscato. She is currently the face of the brand who's slogan is "Get in the Myx." As of now the drink is only available in select cities but that is soon to change! Moscato has become a very popular drink, and with the idea of fruit infusions, and one of the most popular faces in entertainment donning ads everywhere it is sure to be a hit! CrazySexyCool; TLC Biopic.

Before Destiny's Child, or Danity Kane there was the now legendary TLC. T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chilli. VH1 has finally released the trailer of the TLC biopic CrazySexyCool. It is set to be released straight to television in October of this year. It stars Drew Sidora as T-Boz, KeKe Palmer as Chilli, and Lil Mama as Left Eye. It portrays their rise to fame, and the ups and downs that the group experienced throughout the years. If you are anything like me (a huge fan) you're probably just as excited as I am!  Over this past weekend, DJ Khaled proposed marriage to Nicki Minaj via MTV and it was well, creepy. Despite rumors that Nicki took out a restraining order against the 37 year old Khaled, it seems to be nothing more that a publicity stunt to promote his new single. All in fun, Nicki seems to have no problem playing along. She was spotted out with some high school friends when the ring was photographed. The ring she is wearing is not that of DJ Khaled. In fact it's been rumored that she may have been secretly married to long time boyfriend Safaree. DJ Khaled however, maintains it's was real proposal, and he will await his response  I'm sure this is exactly what is perceived to be a promotional stunt. Let's face it, it works well and has been effective for many celebrities for many years. Good luck Khaled!

Today I saw Fruitvale station; a movie based on the true story of Oscar Grant III, a 22 year old African-American man who was killed by a BART officer on New Years day. I highly recommend this movie to anyone, especially following the trial of George Zimmerman, who was acquitted of 2nd degree murder charges on July 13th, 2013. The connection that I find within this movie to the trial is the tragic end to Mr. Grant's life, and the aftermath of rallies, riots and a serious need for change. These things happen almost daily unfortunately and I give great kudos to the writer and director of this film, Ryan Coogler, who brought attention to a story millions were still unaware of. The movie takes place in the Bay Area and it stars the talented Michael B. Jordan and Oscar Award winning actress Octavia Spencer. It shows the ins and outs of a young man yearning for change and looking forward to the brighter side of life starting with his ambition for better. As the day goes on it takes a tragic turn and he is shot and killed trying to make his way home. Check out the trailer, and go see it if you haven't yet!

More troubles for rapper DMX.

On July 27th rapper DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested early Friday morning and was charged with a DUI. The rapper was taken into custody in Greenville, South Carolina. He has had a history of drug and alcohol abuse even refusing to get his life together at the request of his son on the show Iyanla Fix My Life, which airs on the OWN network. The 42 year old rapper was released shortly after his arrest. Hopefully, he will accept the help he needs before his life ends needlessly. You can see how drugs and alcohol in excess age, and harm your well being. Get better X!
